Rep Matt Salmon, R-AZ AP/Carolyn Kaster |
Representative Matt
Salmon, (R) AZ, is an instrumental force in the effort to shut-down the government
rather than enact “Obamacare.” On this week’s “Face the Nation” Representative
Salmon said, that this “is the will of the people.”
Does Representative Salmon believe America was pleased to lose its
global financial rating as it did last year? Does this man truly believe the
American people want to see the government go belly up, yet again? Perhaps this Representative does not realize
if we continue healthcare in America as we have, that this is contrary to the
will of the people? The vast majority of
the average Americans cannot afford to continue to pay high premiums, high
co-pays and astronomical out of pocket expenses.
The will of the people is for something different, something
affordable and something in favor of the people as opposed to favoring the
insurance, pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. This law, which finally is
set to take effect with the beginning of the fiscal year, is in response to the
will of the people.
Yes, there are components of “the Affordable Healthcare Act”
that can stand revamping, but this is not what Representative Salmon is
suggesting. He wants to repeal the act
in its entirety and continue as we have been, on a course the average citizen
is firmly and greatly against.
In April 2013, Representative Salmon also called for limiting politicians to a maximum of six
years in the House and 12 in the Senate.
Yes, that’s right, another not so bright idea from the representative. Maybe we should start with his seat in
congress and quickly send his behind back to Arizona.
Perhaps it is time the American people take back our
government. We need to insure our
government is acting in favor of the American people. Special interest groups, corporate sponsors
and organizational entities with agendas contrary to the well-being of the
people, need not have any influence in the decisions made in our halls of
government.
I’m not hatin, I’m jus sayin…
