A Taste of Something New From EWF

EWF circa 1976

Those of us who came of age in the 70's and 80's can easily identify with the classic soulful, funky, mystical and melodious sounds of Earth Wind & Fire. Their vintage music resounds as strongly today as it did when it was released.

The group was the brainchild of Maurice White, a legitimate musical genius and former member of the Ramsey Lewis Trio. While Maurice no longer performs with the group due to health issues, the sound that gave us "Devotion, Reasons, Shining Star" and a multitude of other hits continues to endure.

Their early stage shows filled with magic, spirituality and pure showmanship were virtually unmatched. Few bands, (yes you heard me correctly, real musicians) have endured as they have, performing and recording more than 40 years. To have seen them in their heyday, was a major treat.

Please enjoy this new cut entitled "My Promise," a little new music with that classic and nostalgic EWF sound and feel. Due to be released 9/10/13 "Now, Then & Forever," is the first album to be released by the group in eight years.

For a little something extra, click on this link to view a "Billboard" interview with Phillip Bailey and hear "Sign On," the lead song from the forthcoming Earth Wind & Fire album, "Now, Then & Forever."

Enjoy All.
